Variety of Lunch Options at South Melbourne Market

South Melbourne Market which is open on Wed, Fri, and weekends has a wide variety of good and cheap food for lunch.

I enjoyed the minced meat Gozleme at Koy Restaurant which was a flat bread filled with minced lamb and a size of sour cream.
🌟🌟🌟🌟

There is also the famous South Melbourne Dim Sim which has large dim sims and spring rolls. While the dim sims were tasty, I still preferred the sorting rolls more.
🌟🌟🌟

Also another place for a cheap lunch is the Claypot Evening Star which has a nice Bread & Fish Peddler Sandwich

Delicious Malaysian Restaurant in South Melbourne

Found another good Malaysian Restaurant that serves both good and affordable food.

The good dishes I've tried include the Hometown Crispy Chicken Chop with Rice which came with a very good sweet chilli sauce. The chicken chop was very crispy and flavourful.

The Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang is also very good with big servings.

Malaysian Yam Basket in Melbourne

Went to try out the Yam Ring (Yam Basket) and Char Kuay Teow at Jonker Street. The team basket was superb and full of ingredients and very authentic although it is a bit spicier than the one in Malaysia.

The Char Kuay Teow is very good by Melbourne standards with loads of ingredients including Chinese sausage, fish cakes, bean sprouts and clams.

The Wantan Noodles are good as well with springy and firm noodles. The Curry Chee Cheong Fun was about average.

Friday Ultimate Burgers for Lunch

Enjoyed this delicious and juicy The Ultimate Burger at this cafe in South Melbourne (near the South Melbourne Market). It is very delicious with bacon, cheese, caremelised onions and a thick juicy patty. It's value for money on Fridays (as it's discounted to $10 on Friday).

Mt Donna Buang, Warburton, Victoria, Australia

We had a wonderful snowy weekend up at Mount Donna Buang last week. It's only 1.5 hours from Melbourne. There was a nice snow cover this morning and plenty of opportunities to do sledding or snow play. Best of all, it's free.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Do check the snow forecast before going at the link below:
http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/MtDonnaBuang/6day/mid

You can make it up without snow chains but do drive slowly and carefully. The snow grader normally comes by 11am to clear the roads.
