HMVS Cerberus Shipwreck in Melbourne's Half Moon Bay

This is one of the hidden gems in Melbourne. Only 30mins drive from the city and a short drive down from Brighton Beach, the HMVS Cerberus shipwreck is a former Victorian naval ship that was purchased by the Sandringham city council and scuttled near the beach to act as a breakwater as well serving as a tourist attraction.

During the warmer months, you can go snorkelling near the shipwreck for some great sights and sealife. However, you will need to bring your own snorkelling gear (just remember to visit KMart, Big W, or Target to get some cheap snorkelling equipment).

There are toilet facilities nearby at the Lifesaving Club house for changing. Also. the Cerberus Beach House (https://goo.gl/maps/BDKoNasASyS2) is famous for its fish & chips and is great for a meal after a swim.

One of the Last Hainanese Coffee Shops in KL

Probably the last Hainanese coffee shop in the whole of Kuala Lumpur... I love these old classics like roti babi (pork French toast) and the roast pork belly with apple sauce.

Delicious and cheap lunch in South Melbourne Market

Very delicious and cheap borek at the South Melbourne Market food court. I enjoyed the Spicy Lamb Borek which only costs $3 and the sweet dessert costs only $2.

Delicious Gourmet Platters at McGlashan's near Geelong, Victoria, Australia

A hidden gem of a vineyard that serves good wine and even better food. McGlashan is famous for their gourmet platters and seafood platters which provide an assortment of delicious meats and cheeses which can be paired off against their excellent wines.

 

They also offer the option to pack the platters as a take-away package which is perfect for packing it for a picnic on the many beaches along Geelong / Bellarine Peninsula.

Very Authentic Malaysian Cuisine in the East Suburbs

Really enjoyed the authentic Malaysian cuisine at this restaurant in Bayswater. They are famous for their Hainanese Chicken Rice.

I also enjoyed the Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang here. It was spicy and rich and flavourful.

You'll have to go early or make a reservation as they are very popular and parking space is limited.
